What does Odoo ERP connect in a Croatian company?
A sales quotation can become an order, a stock reservation, a delivery order and an invoice without repeated re-entry. In manufacturing, the same flow continues through a bill of materials, work order, material consumption and finished product. Management gets an overview of open obligations and process status, while employees work in the same system.
The applications you will actually use depend on the business. A trading company may only need Odoo Sales, Odoo Purchase, Inventory management and Odoo Accounting. When is Odoo not a good choice?
If you have very few transactions, one simple process and an existing application that works reliably, a full ERP implementation is probably not justified. Odoo is also not a shortcut around unclear responsibilities. If the company does not know who approves purchasing or when an order is ready for manufacturing, software will not make that decision for you.
The limitations of Odoo Online should also be considered. It covers standard applications and configuration, but does not allow arbitrary custom server modules. For demanding integrations, first decide whether Odoo.sh or an on-premise installation is more suitable.
How can you make an initial assessment without buying a system?
Write down one process from beginning to end, such as from a customer enquiry to payment. For each step, record the person, the data they enter and the document that is created. Mark the places where the same data is entered again. This list is more useful than a list of desired modules because it shows where ERP can actually remove manual work.
Cost depends on scope, data and customisations. It is therefore useful to review what is included in Odoo pricing separately, instead of comparing only the user licence price.
